Umberumberka Recreation Reserve Upgrade Project
The Umberumberka Recreation Reserve Upgrade Project is an initiative of Regional Development Australia Far West Inc that will enhance the liveability of the Far West region.

The project proposes a range of enhancements, including infrastructure upgrades and the introduction of recreational facilities, with a primary focus on preserving the dam's historical significance.

The effectiveness of the Umberumberka Recreation Reserve Upgrade will contribute to the economic growth and well-being of the community. The main objectives are to improve liveability, stimulate economic growth in the far west region, and position Umberumberka Dam as a regional attraction.

The proposed upgrades include the development of walking tracks, bike trails, and a café, as well as upgraded picnic, BBQ areas, the restoration of historical steam pumps and accommodation for visitors to the region.

By transforming the dam into a multifaceted tourist attraction, the project aims to enhance the local economy, foster community well-being, and attract visitors from both near and far. The proposed upgrades, spanning road improvements, car park enhancements, and expanded facilities addresses existing limitations, making the dam more accessible and appealing to a wider audience.
