The 2026 Far West NSW Excellence In Business Awards will be held on 7 November 2026 recognising the regions' outstanding businesses, employees and community organisations.

The Welcome Experience The next Meet and Mingle Event for new residents will be held on Tuesday 17 March 2026 at Golf Broken Hill 235 Racecourse Road. Participants from sporting, art and community organisations will be present to provide information in their respective areas for new residents.

The Far West NSW Sporting Hall of Fame (FWSHF) is an initiative of Regional Development Australia Far West and aims to preserve and celebrate the history of sport in the Far West region of NSW.

This Australian Government initiative brings together all levels of government and is funded by the Australian Government and by state, territory and local governments in some jurisdictions.
